Here is the designer art for what our story will be. If you would run through this and see if you can understand it. We plan to have similar drawings on major buildings within the game to signify why certain things are the way they are. Now I must stress this is designer art not final game art. It will stay rudimentary but look more along the lines of the pictographs found in ancient Egyptian times.
Now to the meat of the sandwich! Being the art lead I often have found my self looking over work that has been created and adding modifications too them rather then being able to create things from scratch. Below are the weapons that have currently been created for the game which all have gone through many iterations and still have more to go. The weapons are as follows, wood on the left, bone on top, and bronze on bottom. This is just the start of the weapons. We still have to finish bronze, iron, steel, and our made up metal demdanite! So expect to see a lot more elegant weapons in the future!
These are our shields at the moment. As you can see they have gone through an iterration this past week and still have some more to go.
Here is a look at the current shrines in the game. Shrines basically function as the control center for the hero allowing him to give orders to his peasants and rapid movement to other captured locations on the map.
The major problem we had the beginning month of the games creation was a cohesive style. I feel that we have finally found that style and its turning out very well.
More updates to come later. Look forward to seeing our character and game play??
